Joel Armia Chips in Three Points in Overtime Loss
5 years agoMontreal Canadiens forward Joel Armia tallied his first points of the season, chipping in two goals and an assist in Wednesday night's overtime loss to the Buffalo Sabres. The former first-rounder hasn't lived up to his draft position to this point in his career, but he finds himself on a solid third line next to Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Jonathan Drouin, making him an under-the-radar fantasy option. He will have some inconsistent moments where he doesn't score any points for a couple of games, but he will have the ability to go off every night while playing with talented players. The Canadiens skill players being spread out through the lines also gives these players the chance to play against some weak defensive pairings, so it is worth taking a look at this line when playing some bottom-tier defensive teams. Kotkaniemi and Ben Chiarot chipped in the other goals for the Canadiens.
