Joe Musgrove Limits Giants To Two Hits, Two Walks On Monday
2 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Joe Musgrove threw six shutout innings in his most recent outing on Monday against the San Francisco Giants. The veteran also allowed a pair of hits and a pair of walks while striking out seven. He needed just 86 pitches to get through the six innings and finished the day with a 38% CSW rate and 11 swinging strikes. Four of Musgrove's 11 swinging strikes came via his slider. For the season, the 29-year-old now owns a 2.93 ERA, a 3.59 FIP, and 184 strikeouts in 181 innings. He's also walked just 42 batters.
