Joe Musgrove Fires Seven Scoreless Innings Against Giants
2 years agoSan Diego Padres right-hander Joe Musgrove had a fantastic outing against the San Francisco Giants on Thursday. He pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and four walks while striking out six. Unfortunately, he wound up with a no decision as the Padres eventually won the game in 10 innings. The 29-year-old has been nothing short of sensational this year. Across 15 starts, he's gone 8-2 with a 2.09 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP. He's earned a quality start in all but one of his 15 outings. His next start -- which will be his final start before the All-Star break -- is going to be a challenging one against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field next Wednesday. Despite the tough pitching environment, fantasy managers should have no hesitation in starting Musgrove for the matchup.
