Joe Musgrove Allows Five Runs For Second Straight Start
3 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Joe Musgrove granted five earned runs in five innings Monday against the Washington Nationals. The damage on Musgrove occurred in the first two frames, including a four-run second, but he settled in and escaped without further damage. The right-hander permitted seven knocks and a walk while striking out four in the no-decision. Musgrove has now allowed five runs in two consecutive outings but still owns a stellar 2.97 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 29 percent strikeout rate over 94 innings. He'll remain an SP3 against the Colorado Rockies at home on Saturday in his last start before the All-Star break
