Joe Mauer Sitting, Logan Morrison Back In Lineup On Thursday
6 years agoMinnesota Twins first baseman Joe Mauer will sit on Thursday afternoon against the Chicago White Sox. Logan Morrison will take Mauer's place at first, though neither would be quality fantasy options in the matchup. Outfielder Eddie Rosario returns to his spot batting second in the lineup, while outfielder Robbie Grossman will take over designated hitter duties. Taylor Motter will play right field and Jake Cave will man center. Interestingly, after a 4-for-4 night on June 27, shortstop Ehire Adrianza will bat sixth in the order. The Twins probably hope his productive night will carry over into their matchup Thursday. With that said, a meeting with the struggling Lucas Giolito might be just what the doctor ordered for the slumping offense. Rosario and Eduardo Escobar are two streaming options who have had success against Giolito in the past.
