Joe Lombardi Impressed By Donald Parham Jr.'s Growth
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers tight end Donald Parham Jr. received praise from offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi. Although Parham will back up Jared Cook, the 6-foot-8 tight end will have a valuable role. Parham did not see more than 37% of snaps per game, except for Week 16 against the Denver Broncos, last season. He had three touchdowns in 2020 and will look to build his chemistry with quarterback Justin Herbert, specifically in the red zone. It was reported in August that Parham is expected to see a bigger role in the offense. Even with the addition of Cook, Parham will be Herbert's go-to red-zone threat this season. Parham should be a handcuff to Cook this season in much deeper leagues. In a tough Week 1 matchup against the Washington Football Team, Parham should not be on the radar for DFS contestants.
