Joe Kelly Exits With Hamstring Tightness On Wednesday
2 years agoChicago White Sox relief pitcher Joe Kelly (hamstring) was removed from Wednesday's game against the Boston Red Sox due to left hamstring tightness. He entered the game in the eighth inning and struck out each of the two batters he faced on a total of seven pitches before exiting. He is set to be reevaluated Thursday morning. The 33-year-old made his season debut on May 9 and had a few bumpy outings out of the gate. However, he's settled in over the past few weeks and he's now pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings over his last four outings, striking out six batters along the way. He's already racked up six holds across seven appearances.
