Joe Burrow Not Expected To Miss Week 1
1 year agoCincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (calf) might miss another preseason after straining his right calf in training camp practice on Thursday, but it doesn't sound as though he's in danger of missing Week 1 of the regular season against the Cleveland Browns. Head coach Zac Taylor said it will be several weeks before Burrow is playing again, and the Bengals aren't going to take any chances with their franchise signal-caller, but this injury shouldn't negatively affect Burrow's stock as a top-five QB1 in fantasy drafts. With the 26-year-old shut down in training camp, backup QBs Trevor Siemian and Jake Browning will see increased repetitions. The only thing to be concerned about with Burrow heading into the season because of the injury will be whether he's rusty early on because of his lack of training camp/preseason reps.
