Joc Pederson Diagnosed With Grade 1 Adductor Strain
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Joc Pederson (adductor) has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 adductor strain, according to Giants President of Baseball Operations Farhan Zaidi. Zaidi stated that this is "relatively good news" for Pederson. He added that the team will take a few days to see if Pederson's injury improves before making a decision on the injured list. There's a chance a stint on the injured list won't even be necessary. The 30-year-old is off to a great start to his Giants career, slashing .353/.382/.745 with six home runs over 16 games. Fantasy managers who snagged him off the waiver wire or in drafts should be encouraged by Friday's injury update as Pederson has avoided something serious.
