Joc Pederson Benched Versus Lefty On Thursday
4 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Joc Pederson will be out of the lineup on Thursday. Pederson has been swinging a hot bat in May and is hitting .343 with three home runs and 11 home runs over the course of the month. Pederson came to the Cubs with the chance to play versus lefties, but manager David Ross has been benching him versus left-handed pitching lately. Pederson should be back in the lineup on Friday versus the Cincinnati Reds. Outfielder Rafael Ortega will replace Pederson on Thursday and bat sixth versus lefty Tyler Anderson.
