5 years agoEdmonton Oilers forward Joakim Nygard will be pinching himself tonight ahead of his first NHL game against the Vancouver Canucks, as he'll be lining up on the top line alongside Connor McDavid. James Neal is also set to be Nygard's linemate in his first-ever game. Nygard is a 26-year-old forward who spent his whole career with Farjestad in Sweden before making the big jump to the NHL. He had 21 goals and 35 points last season in 52 regular-season games. Playing with McDavid puts the Swede in a very good spot to start his NHL career off on the right foot.
