Jo Adell Feeling Better, Hopes To Return On Monday
1 day agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell (hip) is feeling better and hopes to return to the starting nine on Monday when the Angels face the St. Louis Cardinals. Adell was removed early from Saturday's contest after suffering this hip injury. However, it does not sound serious, and Adell may only miss one game. On Sunday, Kyren Paris will cover center field and bat in the nine-hole. Last season, the 25-year-old began to turn the corner on his slow start to his MLB career. Adell launched a career-best 20 long balls and swiped 15 bags. However, he held a high 27.9 percent strikeout rate and drew walks at a modest 7.9 percent walk rate. Adell also generated an elite 76.7 mph bat speed and placed in the 86th percentile in sprint speed. When he does return, he is a viable depth outfielder in category leagues.
