4 months agoThe St. Louis Cardinals took West Virginia University shortstop/second baseman JJ Wetherholt with the No. 7 pick in the 2024 MLB Draft. The WVU infielder hit .331 with eight homers and 30 RBI for the Mountaineers last season. The 21-year-old has a 65-grade hit tool to go with a 60-grade run tool. The well-rounded prospect was one of the best pure hitters in college last year and should be an impact player for the Cardinals in the future.--Brian Buckey - RotoBaller
