Jimmy Graham Sits Out Thursday’s Preseason Game
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Jimmy Graham did not suit up for Thursday’s preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Green Bay rested most of their starters for their fourth preseason game. Graham hasn’t seen much action in his first preseason in Green Bay. The veteran tight end was a dominant force in the red zone last year, but there are questions as to whether he will be able to sustain the production he saw in Seattle. Tight ends in Green Bay have not generated much production with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback. Graham is hardly the first big name tight end signed by Green Bay, but his situation may be different. Green Bay lost their best red zone receiver last year in Jordy Nelson. The large framed and athletic Graham could be a suitable replacement near the goal line and see a lot of targets. Graham is a high risk/high reward player this year. While the upside is enough that he is worth pursuing, relying on him week-in and week-out remains a risky proposition.
