Jimmy Graham Leaves Game With Thumb Injury
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Jimmy Graham (thumb) left a Thursday night Week 11 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks with a thumb injury early in the game. While specifics about the injury have not been released, Michael Silver of NFL.com has reported that it is feared to be serious. Graham finished the game with one reception for 13 yards. Graham has been a low-end, albeit viable, option at tight end all year. The veteran has lost more than a few steps since his prime in New Orleans and has not been heavily utilized in the red zone, where he excels. Green Bay has rarely leaned on the tight end position much, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. If Graham were to miss time Green Bay would turn to tight end Lance Kendricks to fill his role. Kendricks is a capable player but should only be rostered or started in desperate situations.
