Jimmy Garoppolo Making His Playoff Debut
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is a contrarian DFS option in the Divisional Round against the Minnesota Vikings. Coming off a strong season with 27 touchdown passes, Garoppolo also battled consistency issues with 18 turnovers. In friendly home confines, he’ll face a surprise Vikings team that ranks seventh in pass DVOA. Garoppolo’s splits show he was relatively worse at home, with a 96.0 passer rating, and it’s probable the favored Niners will continue riding their dominant rushing attack. But even in a run-heavy offense, the Niners were the eight-best passing team during the regular season with multiple playmakers in star tight end George Kittle, rookie Deebo Samuel and veteran Emmanuel Sanders. Although his price suggests Garoppolo is a bottom-four option, the Niners have demonstrated the ability to be an explosive offense.
