Jimmy Butler Will Miss Friday’s Contest
2 years agoMiami Heat power forward Jimmy Butler (knee) has been ruled unavailable for Friday's game against Washington due to a sore right knee. The absence marks the third of the season for Butler, who has logged his lone two single-digit shot attempts outings in his past three games. With Tyler Herro (ankle) and Victor Oladipo (knee) already ruled out as well, multiple members of the Heat can be expected to see an increase in role on a short-term basis, namely Gabe Vincent, Max Strus and Duncan Robinson. When healthy, Butler has enjoyed a strong start to the year, averaging 20.8 points, 6.6 boards and 6.1 assists, all while shooting 48.3% overall. His next chance to suit up comes Sunday vs. the Cavaliers.
