Jimmie Johnson's recent struggles at Phoenix continued in qualifying on Saturday. While two of his Hendrick Motorsports teammates were fast enough to make the top ten, Johnson was only able to place the No. 48 Ally Chevrolet in the 21st position. The seven-time champion has a great history as far as wins at Phoenix but hasn't earned a top-five finish since 2015. It should also be noted that when Johnson hasn't earned a top-ten finish when starting outside the top 20 since 2011. His early-season success does create some optimism for fantasy owners, but the poor showing in practice and qualifying is likely enough to keep Johnson off most rosters this week.--Daniel BraggRead More News
