Jimmie Johnson Has Massive Upside At Texas
4 years agoHendrick Motorsports driver Jimmie Johnson will roll off from the 26th position in Sunday's Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. Johnson is coming to the end of his run in the No. 48, and Texas will be one of Johnson's best chances to get that classic final win. In 34 career starts at TMS, Johnson has seven wins, 16 top-fives, and 22 top-10 finishes. Johnson has had poor results, since his last win at Texas, in 2017, but Johnson has run very strong in most of those races. Last year, Johnson had a top-five finish and led 100 combined laps over the two races. In July, Johnson started 20th and finished the first stage in seventh. Johnson soon after had to go to the rear for a violation and hit the wall in a rush to regain spots, ending his hopes of a good run. In DFS, Johnson's salary is a nice value, despite being high. Johnson has an amazing upside in position differential and will be a great selection for lineups.
