Ji Yeon Kim Unable To Win Second Bout In A Row
4 years agoThe women's flyweight No. 14-ranked fighter, Ji Yeon Kim, will probably fall from the rankings Monday after suffering a decision loss to Alexa Grasso on Saturday night. The South Korean landed 68 significant strikes and a total of 85 strikes through 15 minutes of action. Grasso was just faster in the striking game and was able to get in and out before Kim could land her big counter strikes. The 30-year-old will drop out of the rankings but is no doubt a ranked-caliber flyweight. Her next bout will probably be a favorable matchup to help her get back on track.
