Ji-Man Choi Hits Three-Run Double In Friday’s Loss
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays' first baseman Ji-Man Choi went 1-for-2 with a three-run double during Friday's 10-4 loss to the Detroit Tigers. He pinch-hit for Jordan Luplow in the seventh inning, and with the bases loaded, Choi blasted a base clearing double to give the Rays a 4-3 lead. The 30-year-old returned from a hamstring injury on Wednesday. Choi sees semi-regular at-bats and continues to sit against southpaws. Overall, he is slashing .248/.360/.432 with nine home runs, 41 RBI, and runs scored over 242 plate appearances in 2021. Choi can be used as a streamer against righties after posting a .871 OPS against them this season.
