3 years agoTampa Bay Rays' first baseman Ji-Man Choi went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Wednesday's 7-0 win over the Astros. He blasted a three-run shot to right-center field off Peter Solomon to break the game wide open and give the Rays a 6-0 lead in the fifth inning. The 30-year-old was ice cold from the plate entering Wednesday's game as he recorded just one hit over his last 22 at-bats. Choi is slashing .230/.350/.415 with 11 home runs, 45 RBI, 36 runs scored, and 44 walks over 294 plate appearances in 2021. The Rays' first baseman is mainly an option in deep-league formats.
