Jhoulys Chacin Seen At Coors Field With Rockies Coaches
4 years agoFree agent pitcher Jhoulys Chacin was seen playing catch in front of Rockies coaches at Coors Field on Wednesday, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports. Chacin was with the Yankees during Spring Training, and had a respectable performance with a 3.86 ERA and nine strikeouts in 9 1/3 innings of work — primarily in relief. Harding says there is no word as to whether Chacin has signed a deal with the Rockies, but it's possible he could soon rejoin Colorado, where he experienced most of his career success at. If Chacin does sign with Colorado, he would likely be used primarily out of the bullpen now that a spot has opened up with Scott Oberg undergoing surgery to remove blood clots in his throwing arm. Chacin could be a decent add in that case in deeper SV/HLD formats.
