Jhoan Duran Records Second Save
2 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Jhoan Duran struck out the only batter he faced to earn the save in Saturday's 9-6 win over the Houston Astros. He entered the game in the ninth inning with two runners on and two outs. Duran struck Yainer Diaz out swinging on a 101 MPH fastball to seal the Twins' victory. The 25-year-old has not allowed a run this season and owns a 0.86 WHIP with four strikeouts over 2 1/3 innings. Minnesota continues to use a closer by committee. Duran has earned two saves compared to Jorge Lopez's one. Fantasy managers should continue to start Duran in all league formats.
