1 year agoIt wasn't clean, but Minnesota Twins closer Jhoan Duran was able to secure his 18th save of the season in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Cardinals. Duran entered to pitch the ninth inning up by two. He got the first out on a groundout, allowed a solo home run, and got the final two outs on strikeouts. The 25-year-old flamethrower has been consistent throughout the season, converting all but four save opportunities with a 2.81 ERA and a 12.31 K/9 rate.
