Jets Trying To Re-Sign Robby Anderson
5 years agoThe New York Jets are making an effort to re-sign wide receiver Robby Anderson, according to a source. It was widely believed that Anderson would be too pricey for the Jets to retain, as he'll be one of the top receivers on the open market. But it looks like Gang Green might be having second thoughts. The 26-year-old was mostly a disappointment with 52 catches for 779 yards and five touchdowns over a full season in 2016, and he's yet to top 1,000 yards receiving in any of his four seasons in the NFL. Another full year with quarterback Sam Darnold would likely yield better results, but Anderson has mostly been a low-ceiling WR4/flex for fantasy owners. It remains to be seen if he can bust out of that mold if he goes elsewhere.
