Jets To Wait On Contract Extensions For Garrett Wilson, Sauce Gardner
1 day agoPer SNY's Connor Hughes, the New York Jets will hold off on extension talks with wide receiver Garrett Wilson and defensive back Sauce Gardner until after the 2025 NFL Draft. Both players are entering the fourth and final year of their contracts, though the team can exercise a fifth-year option on each. Wilson has been excellent, piling up over 1,000 yards in his first three seasons and eclipsing the 100-catch mark (101) in 2024. Gardner has been stellar, too. Despite a down year that ended on IR with a hamstring injury, he's been a pillar on the Jets' back end since he hit the field. It makes sense that, eventually, New York will get a deal done with both athletes. The trick will be not breaking the bank in doing so. Both players will make an impact on the field again in 2025.
