Jets Request To Speak With Ryan Grigson For GM Opening
18 hours agoThe New York Jets have requested to interview Minnesota Vikings senior vice president of player personnel Ryan Grigson for their general manager position, according to a source. Grigson spent five years as the GM of the Indianapolis Colts when the team went to an AFC Championship and won two AFC South titles in his first three years at the helm after he drafted quarterback Andrew Luck. He also worked for the Cleveland Browns and Seattle Seahawks before serving in his current role with the Vikings the last three years. After a 5-12 season with future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers healthy all year, the Jets are looking for both a new GM and head coach after firing Joe Douglas and Robert Saleh, respectively, in the middle of the year. With a major rebuild coming, New York is wisely looking for experienced leadership for both positions.
