Jets, John Franklin-Myers Reach Contract Extension
3 years agoThe New York Jets and defensive end John Franklin-Myers agreed to an undisclosed four-year contract extension on Thursday, according to sources. He will now be under contract with the team through the 2025 season. Franklin-Myers has 15 tackles (seven solo), five quarterback hits, a forced fumble and three sacks in four starts this season in his third year in the NFL. In his first two seasons with the Jets, the 25-year-old had 14 solo tackles, 13 QB hits, three fumble recoveries and five sacks in 31 games (two starts). Franklin-Myers has seen at least 63 percent of the defensive snaps in each game so far this season, so he's clearly taken on a much bigger role in 2021.
