Jets Interested In Dalvin Cook, No Other Running Backs
1 year agoThe New York Jets continue to express interest in free-agent running back Dalvin Cook but are "not necessarily looking to add another piece at the position" if they fail to sign him, according to Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda. This makes sense, considering New York hasn't been linked to many other free-agent running backs, or at least not publicly. It also suggests that Breece Hall's (knee) rehab is going quite well and signing Cook would be more of a luxury than a necessity. We have heard similar news out of Miami, where the Dolphins would love to sign Cook, but don't feel like they absolutely have to. One final note on New York's backfield: Pauline reports that the Jets like what they have in backup Zonovan Knight, who has had a great camp, and rookie Israel Abanikanda.
