Jets Are Showing Interest In Andy Dalton
5 years agoThe New York Jets have shown some level of interest in free-agent quarterback Andy Dalton, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. The team has categorized their interest as "due diligence." Quarterback Sam Darnold is expected to remain the starter in 2020, but the team wants to solidify the backup role. Both David Fales and fourth-round pick James Morgan are unproven talent with little to zero professional experience. It's unclear whether Dalton would be interested in a backup role in New York. Regardless, it sounds like the Jets are covering their bases and throwing their hat into the ring. Dalton figures to have very little to no fantasy value in 2020, depending on where he lands.
