Jesus Sanchez Sitting Out On Tuesday
3 months agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jesus Sanchez is getting a day of rest on Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks at loanDepot Park with a left-hander on the mound. Sanchez will head to the bench after starting each of the team's last eight games. Cristian Pache will make the start in center field and will hit seventh against Diamondbacks left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez. Sanchez has hit .226 (14-for-62) in the month of August with three home runs, three doubles, nine RBI and 24 strikeouts in 17 games played. He's hit just .120 (9-for-75) with two of his 15 long balls on the year against southpaws and 24 strikeouts in 82 plate appearances, so it's no wonder he's on the bench on Tuesday. Pache is pretty much only useful to the Marlins for his glove, so fantasy managers playing in DFS contests should avoid him as a low-cost outfielder.
