Jesus Sanchez Has Huge Game In Loss
4 months agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jesus Sanchez fell a single short of the cycle in Thursday's extra-inning loss versus the Boston Red Sox on Thursday. Sanchez went 3-for-5 on the day with a double, triple and two-run home run. The outfielders Statcast profile has projected a power surge coming for a while now and now it may finally be happening with two home runs in his last three contests and back-to-back three-hit games. The left-handed Sanchez has always shown plenty of power in his profile and is up to nine homers on the season to go along with 33 RBI, six stolen bases and a respectable .247 batting average. In terms of fantasy, Sanchez is worth a trial period in deeper mixed leagues with his recent surge, but he is unlikely to have much long-term value. It should also be noted that he often sits against left-handed pitchers, making him a better play in daily leagues than weekly.
