Jesus Sanchez Dealing With Elbow Inflammation But Cleared For Full Hitting
2 days agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jesus Sanchez (elbow) is recovering from right-elbow inflammation but has been cleared for full hitting activities and is in the final stages of a throwing program at spring training. It's a minor concern for Sanchez and the Marlins early in camp. Barring a setback with his elbow, the 27-year-old outfielder should be fully ready for Opening Day in late March as the team's primary right fielder. Sanchez ranked in the 95th percentile last year in terms of hard contact and was also in the 93rd percentile in average exit velocity. The left-handed batter hits the ball hard. However, he strikeouts out a bit too much and doesn't put the ball in the air enough, which is why he's yet to produce a 20-homer season for fantasy managers. He also has only four career stolen bases, which is why RotoBaller has him ranked as only the No. 65 fantasy outfielder in 2025.
