Jesus Sanchez Called Up To Join The Marlins
3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie outfielder Jesus Sanchez will be called up from Triple-A Jacksonville to join the Marlins on Tuesday. Sanchez was destroying Triple-A pitching, putting up a .349/.400/.643 slash line with nine home runs and 28 RBI. He saw 29 plate appearances at the big league level last season, but did not do well at all, recording just one hit, good for a .040 batting average. Odds are, he'll do better this time around. There's no exact word on what his role will be yet, but since the Marlins have hesitated in calling him up without a path to playing time, it could be safe to assume that they will find a way to get him in the lineup. As long as he gets playing time, he's worth an add in most formats.
