Jesus Sanchez Back In Friday's Lineup
1 year agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jesus Sanchez (neck) is back in action on Friday, starting in center field and batting cleanup against the visiting Detroit Tigers and right-hander Reese Olson. Sanchez left the game early on Wednesday with neck tightness, but it wasn't a serious injury and he'll be available for a series against the Tigers this weekend. The 25-year-old Dominican left-handed hitter doesn't usually play much against left-handed pitchers, but he's an option for fantasy managers in deep-mixed leagues when he's facing righties. In 72 games (233 plate appearances) for the Marlins in his fourth major-league season in 2023, Sanchez is hitting .258 (55-for-213) with 10 homers, 16 doubles, 35 RBI, three steals and 26 runs. Nine of his 10 homers have come against righties.
