Jesus Sanchez Back In Action Tuesday
1 year agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jesus Sanchez is back in the starting lineup Tuesday night against the visiting Houston Astros and right-hander Cristian Javier. The 25-year-old didn't start Monday's series opener but did enter his club's 5-1 win to play defense in place of right fielder Jorge Soler in the ninth inning. Sanchez has dealt with injuries this season but has been productive when healthy, hitting .264 with 10 homers, three stolen bases, and a .785 OPS, production that sits 13% above the league average, according to his 113 wRC+. He has a solid matchup on tap against Javier who has surrendered an .823 OPS to left-handed hitters this season.
