Jesus Luzardo Set For Rehab Start Wednesday
2 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo (forearm) is set for a rehab outing with the organization's Triple-A affiliate on Wednesday. Luzardo is reportedly scheduled to throw five innings in what will be his third rehab outing. The 24-year-old has pitched to a 4.03 ERA and a 3.75 FIP in six starts spanning 29 innings for the Marlins this season, striking out 41 batters in the process. Luzardo has also allowed 16 walks. His last start in the Majors before heading to the injury list was on May 10. Miami's current rotation options include Sandy Alcantara, Pablo Lopez, Trevor Rogers, and Braxton Garrett.
