Jesus Luzardo Impressive In Third Start On Monday
4 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo was much sharper in his third start of the spring on Monday against the Diamondbacks. Luzardo twirled 4 1/3 innings, surrendering three hits and a walk while fanning three batters. This was by far the best outing of the spring for the 23-year-old, as he had allowed five earned runs in his previous two starts heading into the contest. The southpaw had a decent season in 2020, posting a 4.12 ERA in 59 innings with a 16.9 K-BB rate, though it left a bit to be desired. Luzardo has never thrown more than 109 innings in a season dating back to the minors, though his strikeout upside makes him a fair choice at his 106 ADP. Just make sure you have innings-eaters front lining your staff if you take him in roto formats.
