Jesse Winker Delivers Walk-Off Single Against White Sox
4 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Jesse Winker picked up the walk-off single in the bottom of the tenth inning Wednesday and drove in the only run of the game in the Reds' 1-0 victory against the Chicago White Sox. After missing one game due to a back injury on Sunday, Winker now has three hits, four runs scored, and a game-clinching RBI since he returned to the lineup. One of the best outfielders in all of baseball in April, Winker has picked up right where he left off with his May performance to date. Entering Wednesday's game, Winker led the National League in average at .352 and also had five doubles, one triple, six homers, and a staggering 1.049 OPS. Still unproven in certain fantasy manager's eyes, Winker is a clear trade target in all leagues.
