3 months agoNew York Mets outfielder Jesse Winker was called upon to come off the bench in the ninth inning of Wednesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles. The 30-year-old delivered for his team as Winker blasted a pinch-hit game-winning solo home run off right-hander Seranthony Dominguez. This blasted marked Winker's 12th homer of the season and his first since joining the Mets roster. The former first-round pick is having a resurgence at the plate in 2024. He's hitting .262 with 12 long balls and 49 RBI in 119 games between the Washington Nationals and Mets this season.
