Jesse Puljujarvi Collects First Point In Win
6 years agoEdmonton Oilers forward Jesse Puljujarvi picked up his first point of the season with a goal in his team's 5-4 overtime defeat of the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday. After going scoreless in his first three games, Jesse Puljujarvi skated 16:05 in this one, also recording three shots, a hit and a block. The 2016, fourth-overall draft pick has been eased into NHL action, posting just 29 points (14 goals, 15 assists) in an bottom six forward role for much of the first 97 games of his career. However, the 20-year-old has incredible talent, including a heavy shot, and could be a candidate to break out in his second full NHL season in 2018-2019. Puljujarvi and the Oilers will face the Boston Bruins at home on Thursday.
