1 year agoAtlanta Braves right-hander Jesse Chavez (shin) hopes to throw a bullpen session next week. The 39-year-old reliever is currently on the 15-day injured list after suffering a contusion before the All-Star break. Fortunately, Chavez is progressing, recently reporting he's been doing some "light jogging." Without question, Atlanta would like to see him return as soon as possible, considering he's accrued a 1.55 ERA with 36 strikeouts, 13 holds, and two saves in 31 appearances this season. That said, if all goes well, Chavez is looking to be back on the bump in two weeks, although that's the most optimistic scenario.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
