Jesper Horsted Returning To Bears
3 years agoThe Chicago Bears tendered one-year deals to exclusive-rights free-agent tight end Jesper Horsted, center Sam Mustipher and offensive tackle Lachavious Simmons on Tuesday. Horsted joined Chicago as an undrafted free agent in 2019 and caught eight passes for 87 yards and one touchdown in his rookie season. Horsted spent all of 2020 on the practice squad before catching two of three targets for 21 yards and two touchdowns in seven games for the Bears in 2021. Veteran Jimmy Graham and Jesse James are both scheduled to become free agents on March 16, so Horsted could be competing with Cole Kmet for starting duties in 2022.
