Jerome Ford Not Expected To Be Placed On IR
1 year agoThe Cleveland Browns do not anticipate needing to place running back Jerome Ford (ankle) on injured reserve. Ford suffered a sprained ankle during his team's Week 7 win over the Indianapolis Colts and did not return to the game. The second-year back has reportedly responded well to initial treatment in what the team is calling a "low-grade high ankle sprain." According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Ford is expected to miss 1-to-2 weeks with the injury. While Ford is out, Kareem Hunt will lead the backfield while Pierre Strong Jr. is expected to mix in as the breather back. Fantasy managers with the roster space should continue to stash the explosive Ford during the injury if they can.
