Jerick McKinnon Looks Good Versus Former Team
3 years agoKansas City Chiefs running back Jerick McKinnon looked good in the Chiefs first preseason game versus the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday. McKinnon came over as a free agent from the 49ers and the veteran looked good with three rushing attempts for 19 yards and 2 receptions for 21 yards. McKinnon has been unlucky with injuries throughout his career, but has been a capable contributor to managers during the times that he has been healthy. With running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire at the top of the depth chart, McKinnon is competing with fellow backfield teammates, Darrel Williams and Darwin Thompson. As long as McKinnon is healthy, he should be the top insurance option for Edwards-Helaire managers and could even carve out a role as a third-down playmaker.
