Jerick McKinnon A Risky PPR Flex Option In Week 16
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jerick McKinnon has an opportunity to see an uptick in playing time this week against the Arizona Cardinals. With Raheem Mostert (ankle) shut down for the season, the team will lean heavily on Jeff Wilson Jr. as their primary ball-carrier, but McKinnon might be the team's primary pass-catching running back. In Week 15, McKinnon caught both of his targets for 22 yards while Wilson failed to bring in any of his four targets. McKinnon's main competition for playing time behind Wilson is Tevin Coleman, but McKinnon out-snapped Coleman 14 to six in Week 15 and offers more potential in the passing game. McKinnon is a risky play this week as he could very well have another quiet game, but he's shown fantasy value when the work has been there throughout the year. This week could be an active one for him, making him worthy of flex consideration in deep PPR leagues.
