Jerick McKinnon A Risky Flex In Week 10
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jerick McKinnon could be the team's primary rusher in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints. Raheem Mostert (ankle) and Tevin Coleman (knee) are both listed as questionable, but appear likely to be inactive for the game. McKinnon led the backfield in the team's previous game in Week 9, carrying the ball 12 times while rookie running back JaMycal Hasty saw just four carries. However, the week before that, Week 8, saw the roles reversed with Hasty earning 12 carries to McKinnon's three. The Saints boast one of the league's top rush defenses, allowing just 80.3 rushing yards per game. Regardless of how the workload is divided this week, both of the 49ers top rushers are likely to struggle. McKinnon is a risky flex play in deep leagues and should be avoided altogether in shallow leagues.
