Jerick McKinnon A Low-End RB2 In Week 7
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jerick McKinnon has flourished in the two games that Raheem Mostert (knee) has missed this year and that trend should continue with Mostert sidelined in Week 7. McKinnon was the team's starting running back in Week 3 and Week 4 and saw 38 touches over the two games, which led to over 150 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns. McKinnon wasn't much of a factor in the team's past two games and there's some concern about rookie JaMycal Hasty taking some opportunities away from McKinnon. However, McKinnon out-snapped Hasty 23 to 15 in Week 6 and is still the team's primary backup to Mostert for now, putting him in line to see the bulk of the opportunities in a tough Week 7 matchup against the New England Patriots. Start him as a low-end RB2.
