Jeremy Jeffress With A Rough Last Outing In 2018
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Jeremy Jeffress took one last blow in a rough 2018 postseason Saturday in NLCS Game 7. With the Dodgers up 2-1 in the sixth inning, Jeffress came into the game with a runner at first base and no one out. After the first batter singled off of him, he bounced back retiring the next two hitters. However, Yasiel Puig caught ahold of a 1-1 knuckle curve and hit it off the top of the outfield wall just over the glove of the outfielder and it would go out for a three-run homer to put Los Angeles up 5-1 (which would be the final score). After a 2018 regular season where he saved 15 games with a 1.29 ERA, Jeffress struggled in the postseason with three outings where he would allow two runs apiece sprinkled into his eight appearances.
